Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a two-games-in-one package for the Nintendo Switch that includes an enhanced port of the original Wii U game, Super Mario 3D World, and an entirely new, open-world adventure, Bowser's Fury.

Super Mario 3D World

* This portion is a traditional, linear 3D platformer where up to four players can select from multiple characters, each with a unique playstyle. The objective is to rescue the Sprixie Princesses who have been captured by Bowser in the Sprixie Kingdom.

* Characters and Abilities: Players can choose from Mario (an all-rounder), Luigi (jumps highest), Princess Peach (can float), and Toad (is the fastest). Rosalina is also an unlockable character with a spin attack.

* Gameplay: The game features a fixed camera perspective, similar to 2D Mario games, but with 3D movement. Levels are short, distinct, and end with a flagpole.

* Power-ups: The standout new power-up is the Super Bell, which transforms characters into their cat forms, allowing them to climb walls and pounce on enemies. Other power-ups include the Fire Flower, Super Leaf (Tanooki suit), Double Cherry (creates clones), and the Mega Mushroom.

* Multiplayer: The Switch version adds online multiplayer support for the first time, in addition to local co-op.
